Celestial Map

This is my 25th original jade artwork, created from rare and precious natural Xiuyan Flower Jade. What makes this piece truly extraordinary is that nature forms half the work, and my carving completes the other half. The jade stone itself naturally takes on a shape resembling the map of China, a rare and unrepeatable wonder that makes this piece one of a kind.

I carved the magnificent Badaling Great Wall in exquisite relief across the natural landscape of the jade, capturing its majesty and the deep historical spirit of the land. The Great Wall stands as a timeless symbol of strength, heritage, and continuity, woven into the very texture of the stone.

At the base, I designed five ancient scrolls to represent the classic texts that have nurtured Chinese civilization for thousands of years. These scrolls carry the profound wisdom, values, and cultural roots that have been passed down through generations, embodying the essence of traditional Chinese philosophy and ethics.

Every detail of this work expresses my deepest respect for Chinese history, culture, and tradition. It is a tribute to the enduring spirit of a great civilization, the beauty of nature, and the heritage that connects the past, present, and future.
